  • 2 cups garbanzo beans, boiled
  • 1 potato, steamed
  • 2 Japanese cucumbers, deseeded and chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • ½ cup coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp tamarind sauce or tamarind water (add more if you would like it more tangy)
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste


  • Mix everything together in a bowl and it is ready

Tamarind Sauce

  • Soak a 1 inch ball of fresh tamarind in 1 cup of hot water. Once cooled, remove the seeds and discard them
  • Blend in a blender to make a smooth paste
