Serve with an avocado, tortilla chips and a cold beer

Note that in restaurants they add ketchup or tomato sauce


  • 1 kilo of shrimp (weighed before heads removed) peeled, deveined and cut into 3 or 4 pieces depending of the size
  • 3 medium tomatoes, finely  chopped without seeds
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 3 or 4 green small chilis, finely chopped
  • Big bunch of coriander finely chopped
  • 5 limes (large type, see photo in PDF, can find in fridge of Giant stores)
  • 3 cucumbers, finely chopped
  • Salt , to taste
  • Pepper, to taste



  • In a bowl put the shrimp with salt, pepper and the juice of the 3 lemons and reserved for at least one hour in the refrigeration.
  • Then mix with the rest of the ingredients and maybe need more salt and pepper as well
  • Serve and enjoy
  • Note: Second option is put the shrimp in boiling water for 5 min (personally I don’t like) the taste might vary
