Makes: 30 pieces

  • 250g – 300g Mince Pork (Can substitute with Chicken Mince. Or can add shrimp )
  • 4 Water Chestnut (can be substituted with celery)
  • A packet of square wonton wrappers (30)
  • Finely Chopped Spring Onions
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • White pepper. (add to taste)
  • ½ tsp corn starch

  • Clean the water chestnut and peel off the skin. Chop into small pieces. Make sure the pieces are not too small. Water chestnut gives a crunchy texture to the wantons and if its too small it becomes mushy
  • Season the Mince Pork with the following:
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp of light soy sauce.
  • Mix in the water chestnut
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • Lastly add some spring onions into the mince pork.
  • Make the wanton
  • Depending upon the size of the wontons, take a tsp of the minced pork and place it in the middle. Use a finger dipped in water along all 4 sides to help seal
  • Make a triangle by taking together 2 of the edges and create 2 folds along each side of the triangle
  • Make sure the wonton is sealed tight.
  • Fry the wanton till golden brown on both sides
